Created from the youngest wines, it can be described as approachable wine, a sort of initiation before the great wine! It can be drunk more rapidly, it is useless to wait decades before tasting. Fresh and simple, yet it benefits from the same treatment as its eldest.
A fresh and complex nose, with predominant notes of red and dark fruit, is bold and powerful in the mouth. Typical of a great St Estephe, the wine is remarkably elegant and rich in tannins, but with a fine suppleness that makes it immediately accessible. The bouquet offers aromas of fruit and spices, with a stylish finish.
The 2015 Les Pelerins de Lafon-Rochet is a soft, fruity wine to drink now and over the next few years at most, as the flavors are washed out and lacking in depth. Drink it up. 2018-2020.
