Château Husson is located on the eastern slope of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation, in the town of Courthézon. The estate is fortunate to have old vines with deep root systems that can draw cool moisture during periods of hot, dry weather.
Grenache (60%) is the primary grape variety contributing balance and structure, with heavenly aromas of licorice and spices. Mourvèdre (35%) and Syrah (5%) contribute colour and acidity, and further aromatic notes of violet, small red fruit, leather and smoke. It should be consumed during its first 5-8 years of life.
A classically-styled example that offers plenty of raspberries and pretty red floral aromas. The palate has a juicy, vibrant core of raspberry fruit flavour. Drinking well now.
