Good depth with ripe but discreet dark fruit, sage, tobacco leaf and wild dark berries. Very complete palate with plentiful silky tannin, flavour intense and lingering with great purity, class and length, very Latour!

95+ points Andreas Larsson MS

Aromas of blackcurrants, sweet tobacco, fresh herbs, licorice and cigar box follow through to a full body with tannins that are totally integrated and ultra, ultra fine, framing the wine and highlighting the subtle, pretty fruit. All about grace and beauty. Keeps getting better. Drink or hold.

95 points James Suckling

Few second wines in the world enjoy the reputation of Les Forts de Latour. Produced from the celebrated vineyards of Château Latour, this is far more than a traditional second label, with fruit sourced from exceptional parcels surrounding the historic L'Enclos. Crafted with the same uncompromising attention to detail as the Grand Vin, Les Forts de Latour has become one of Bordeaux's most sought after wines in its own right, combining the pedigree of a First Growth with remarkable finesse and longevity.

The superb 2015 vintage delivered Cabernet Sauvignon of outstanding ripeness, concentration and balance. Pauillac's deep gravel soils produced fruit of exceptional purity, while meticulous selection and careful élevage created a wine of precision, structure and effortless elegance. More than a decade in bottle has begun to reveal the harmony and complexity that define this remarkable wine.

Deep garnet with youthful ruby highlights, the bouquet is beautifully layered with aromas of cassis, blackberry and black cherry intertwined with cedar, graphite and cigar box. As the wine evolves, notes of violets, pencil shavings, dark chocolate and subtle spice emerge, adding depth and unmistakable Pauillac character. The palate is refined yet powerful, with concentrated black fruits framed by polished tannins, vibrant freshness and a beautifully defined mineral backbone. Long, seamless and impeccably balanced, the finish lingers with savoury complexity, cedar and the quiet authority that is unmistakably Latour.

An exceptional partner for Chateaubriand, roast lamb, venison loin, duck with truffle or mature Comté. Drinking superbly with a generous decant, this outstanding Pauillac will continue to evolve gracefully for decades.

Cellaring: Drink now to 2050.
