The ‘Field of Carrou’ is located in the village of Bue, one of the 14 municipalities sharing the appellation. It all started in 17th century for the Roger. From generation to generation, the reputation was built around the exceptional terroir and the making of solid and complex wines.
The 2015 release of Domaine du Carrou displays citrus and peach aromas with gooseberry and some smoky, flinty seams. A good ripeness of plum and yellow peach fruit are evident on the palate. Lots of minerals and a firm structure make this a classically styled wine of this region. Not overdone, this is a classy and expressive Sauvignon perfectly balanced and has a long, long finish. Has the capacity to age for several years.
