A blend of 70 percent Carricante and 30 percent Cataratto. Pale straw. Butter, banana and custard cream on the rich, showy nose. Then almost surprisingly fresh and crisp in the mouth, but offering a touch of alcoholic heat to go with the ripe tropical fruit and sweet spice flavors. Lovely wine, but you can hardly recognize the Carricante, though the lemony twinge on the long back end does speak of the variety.
