2015 Jones Road Chardonnay, Mornington Peninsula

Whole bunch pressing, minimal juice settling and incorporating grape solids during barrel fermentation all work to deliver a complex and engaging chardonnay. Oak maturation is carefully monitored to ensure the right amount of time in oak is married with the right balance of new and seasoned barrels. The 2014 Jones Road Chardonnay shows concentrated cool-climate chardonnay characters of grapefruit, peach and nectarine fruits, smooth complex texture and effortless balance.  2015 Jones Road Chardonnay, Mornington Penisula is bang on the money. Ripe peach, dash of apple and quince. Soft acid finish and a touch of warm oak.  

To steal a line from horse racing: put down your glasses. One sniff and sip and it's abundantly clear that this wine is at the top of its game. It has a seamless grace; it combines stone fruits, steel, spice and wood as if they'd all been grown as one.
