Very deep, bright red/purple colour. The bouquet is bright and intensely spicy, with lashings of char-oak aromas over nicely ripe black fruits. There is a delicious core of fruit sweetness surrounded by lashings of soft tannin, the whole thing very full-bodied but effortlessly balanced and lingering long on the farewell. A marvellous, hedonistic shiraz. (Piebald Gully Vineyard)22 MAY 2018 Drink 2019–2041

A strong, commanding wine with bulging muscles of tannin and cherry-berry and (dark) choc flavours in abundance. Cork-permitting, this will mature positively over a long period of time.
