Taut and surprisingly fresh with dark cherry, savoury/baked earth and delicately spicy flavours and a hint of forest floor, an indication of bottle age. Silken-textured wine with an impressively lengthy finish 14 FEB 2024 Drink 2024–2037

Gorgeous spicy cherry aromas, fresh and bright, the palate intense and refined, focused and long, precise and stylish. Fruit drives the wine, not artifact. A glorious wine. 24 JAN 2019 Drink 2019–2031

Cherry, thyme and mint, some earthy autumnal tones here, kind of like shitake mushroom, and squeezed mandarin peel. It’s still carrying a fair amount of juicy red cherry and poached strawberry, a light grainy dusty grip to tannin, perhaps a little drying, but good enough. Kind of sappy and frisky in acidity, some blood orange and tobacco, with a gently drying finish of good length. It’s delivering some complexity and interest as an older wine, and it’s going along pretty well, though I’d be drinking it in the next few years.

Hand harvested from Bendigo (50%) and Pisa (50%) sub regions of Central Otago.A combination of whole bunch and destemmed fruit fermented and hand plunged in open top fermenters, and matured for 10 months in French oak barrels.
Purity, elegance combine with texture, concentration and length. A true reflection of the Central Otago sub regions that contribute to this Pinot Noir. Pretty, floral, and perfumed, this wine displays appealing aromas of ripe red and dark cherry with lovely underlying oak spice. Wonderful depth of fruit refined with a lovely acidity and finesse, this beautiful Pinot Noir will cellar well into the future up to 10 years and beyond.
