Established in 2013 by Shaun and Liz Silkman, Silkman wines is one of the youngest and most promising ventures to come out of Hunter Valley. The couple make small quantities of outstanding quality wines. The 2014 Silkman Reserve Chardonnay was the James Halliday Chardonnay Challenge winner in 2015.
Silkman second label chardonnay is a progressive and elegant style of Hunter Valley Chardonnay. Complex aromas of melon, peach and preserved citrus peel are expertly balanced with toasty oak. The palate is restrained. Notes of citrus and creamy mouth-feel deliver a wine with great persistence and body. The finish long. An outstanding Hunter vintage and the great skillset of the Silkmans has produced an exceptional wine, again. You’re in for a treat.
