76% grenache, 12% mataro, 12% shiraz matured in used French oak for months. The moderately deep colour signals the dominance of grenache in the blend, the bouquet and palate nodding in agreement. The decision to only employ used French oak is absolutely correct, the plummy fruit in no need of assistance. It's true-born Barossa, with a stolid (and solid) regional DNA.
