Whiffs of sulfur and reduction do not completely mask the underlying aromas of resin and ripe pear. There is excellent concentration to the big-bodied and muscular flavors that are also supported by plenty of dry extract on the firmly structured, long and zest-inflected finish. This rustic but impressive effort is decidedly old school in style. Drink 2023+
