A fresh nose mixes notes of red and dark cherry with those of plum and soft earth. I very much like the texture of the succulent medium-bodied flavors that flash good length on the mildly rustic finish. This should drink well after only a few years of cellaring.

Slightly diffuse aromas of red and darker berries, earth and game. Shows more red than black fruits in the mouth, with complicating notes of clove and underbrush. I wanted a bit more flesh and stuffing. Not bad but not exciting. Finishes with slightly dusty tannins. These vines were planted on broken rock in 1980.
