From five blocks of east and south-facing vines dating back to '71, expanded significantly over the following years. Hand-picked, wild yeast open-fermented and matured in new and used French barriques. A beautifully made wine that has soared above the challenge of a generally fast and furious vintage. Attention to detail is a much used (soon to be overmuch) expression, but appropriate for the silky delicacy of this beautiful wine. PS it also has superb tannin structure.
