Fontodi’s owner-winemaker, Giovanni Manetti, has long considered Chianti Classico’s Lamole region special, and this wine proves him right. Fontodi's newest wine comes from his cousin's 7ha holdings in the cool zone of Lamole. The terraced vineyards sit at 600 metres above sea level on sandstone soil. Fermented in cement and aged in French oak casks.
‘Extremely polished and refined with cherries, wet earth and hints of smoke. Medium-bodied with a beautiful balance of fruit and spice, as well as mushrooms. Fresh at the end. From organically grown grapes. Drink or hold.
