Medium yellow colour, not 100% filter-bright, with a smoky, chicken coop, low-level sulfide influenced bouquet, the full-bodied palate very rich and full, soft and round and cuddly, with delicious flavour and shape. Complex layers of fruit flavours as well as oak and lees and sulfide notes. Stacks of ripe-fruit sweetness in the mid-palate. It’s a gentle, rounded, almost opulent style of chardonnay with great flavour and harmony. Magnificent. They've used the full paintbox. Finesse with bright acidity; complex notes of hazelnut, funky, matchstick, tightly wound stone fruit and intense mineral notes push the wine to an extraordinary length on the palate. Certainly among the greatest ever Giaconda Chardonnays. Simply jaw dropping, the tensile length on the palate is a reflection of superb vintage conditions. Destined to live for a long time!
