2016 Willi Schaefer Graacher Domprobst Riesling Auslese #11..ok,choosing which if my favourite Auslese is like choosing my favourite child, only the process is much more fun. Having said that the #14 was my favourite, I am now thinking #11 could be my lucky number. All sexy and voluptuous, yet still incredibly elegant. Touches of creme-brulee, is intermingled with rich grapefruit and sorbet like lemon. Long dancing finish, makes me want more. 

"Honeydew and muskmelons are joined by Golden Delicious apple and mango on a headily ripe nose and an impressively rich, luscious, creamy, glycerol-slicked palate. Yet delicacy and buoyancy, common denominators of the present collection, are alluringly evident. The soothing, superbly sustained finish introduces a hint of caramel that points to the presence of botrytis."
