Two Marlborough parcels were picked two weeks apart, cold macerated and then aged in the mixture of large format French oak cuvees and barriques. This Awatere Valley pinot noir has notes of dark cherry, violets and spice dominating the nose while the palate is full and structured, yet elegant with flavours of luscious dark cherry balanced with a fine mineral acidity.
