Vines planted in the 1870s and '71, destemmed, open-fermented, matured for 6 months in old American puncheons. Demonstrates how nimble Justin Purser is in dealing with a stable that would do the late Tommy Smith or Gaye Waterhouse proud. Should it be given a run now (my view) or in 5 years? I think the delicious red fruits will be still going in 5+ years time, but I'm not persuaded they will be better. Terrific value.
