The 2017 Marsannay Les Grasses Têtes is a step up compared to the Marsannay Village, with a nose of crushed stone and almost flint-like aromas filtering through the black fruit. This is very well defined and focused. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grained tannin. I adore the focus and energy of this wine, the confit finish lending just a hint of exoticism. Superb.
