2017 De Iuliis Single Vineyard Semillon is pale lime green. Floral and zesty citrus aromas dominate. The palate is crisp, clean with intense citrus flavours balanced by structured acids adding length. The natural acidity will hold this wine in good stead for the future and should drink well coming 10+ years.
Flat out delicious. It has a softness to it, along with a white flower perfume and a touch of white pepper. Lime and lemon, fine acidity, subtle white pepper texture too, pure acidity, and a clean long finish. Charm now, complexity later. Excellent.

From what is known as The Garden Vineyard, which is situated on a sandy flat in central Pokolbin. The wine demonstrates how much ripe citrus/lemongrass/vanilla bean flavour can come from a semillon at the dawn of its life. Gold medal Hunter Valley Wine Show ‘17.
