As the price of Sancerre and Pouilly-Fumé edge ever higher, who you gonna call?
Domaine du Salvard that’s who.
The Delaille family has been tending vines in Cheverny, in the Loire Valley, since 1898. Their Unique Sauvignon is cropped from mature Sauvignon Blanc vines rooted in the sandy clay soils of Fougères-sur-Bièvre, close to the famous Château de Chenonceau. Raised on its lees without oak, the ‘17 is as vibrant and as textural as ever—packed with zingy citrus, lemongrass and mouth-watering apple and lychee aromas and flavours. It’s a great drinking and a terrific value introduction to Loire Valley Sauvignon.
