The cool 2017 vintage delivers bright, vibrant acidity and crunchy red berry fruits, set to a backdrop of old-vine black fruits (planted 1912–1950s) and subtle exotic spice. A long spell in new French oak barrels has brought resolution and coherence, filled out with high-cocoa dark chocolate. It holds the fruit integrity, structural confidence and persistence to subdue its warm alcohol, set for a strong future.
