Compared to recent years, Coonawarra's 2017 vintage was later than usual, with a cool growing season. Overall harvest temperatures were slightly warmer than average, produced outstanding fruit in excellent condition and with strong varietal character.
Oak Maturation: This wine was matured for an average of two months in a combination of older French and American oak barrels. Cellaring Potential: Enjoy now or will cellar well up to eight years.
Deep plum red. Dark berries and spiced plum with hints of subtle sweet oak. Medium bodied with rich dark berries, ripe plum and hints of chocolate and spice notes. Smooth and supple with fine, lingering tannins. A versatile wine,fantastic with braised lamb shanks, roast chicken or eggplant parmigiana.
