Deepish red colour with a good tint of purple. The bouquet is smoky, almond-like and savoury, lacking pinot varietal character but pleasant enough drinking. The tannins are firmer and more abundant than expected at this appellation level. A clean, well-made wine. It needs food, or a little more time. 30 JUN 2019
