2017 Pierre Gimonnet Fleuron Brut 1er Cru Blanc de Blancs, Champagne

The Domaine's first vintage cuvée, it was for a long time our “top-of-the-range” cuvée, hence its name: “Fleuron”; the one that was developed when our grandfather considered that the quality of the vintage made it possible to make a blend other than brut without a year. In other words, there was no need to incorporate reserve wines to achieve balance.

Our Champagnes have a style "recognizable among a thousand": great "blanc de blancs" of complex and balanced Champagnes, with chiselled elegance and incomparable mineral freshness.
These qualities obviously result from our Terroirs (the Côte des Blancs) but also from our conception of Champagne: to prefer harmony to intensity, balance to ultra-concentration. And for that, assembly prevails…

The "Fleuron" vintage blanc de blancs cuvée expresses this blending work which adds the qualities of multiple terroirs and "localities" of our estate.

It is the Spirit of this cuvée, a true “flagship” of our vintages, which is produced by judiciously blending some of the “good vats of the year”.

It perfectly expresses what we aspire to create, a subtle balance between material, finesse, elegance and freshness. And for this vintage, complex and fat aromas flourish with a lot of minerality.
