Inspired by the Carthusian monks who first cultivated vines in Priorat during the 12th century, Salmos is Torres' tribute to the region's extraordinary winemaking heritage. Sourced from steep hillside vineyards planted on the famous llicorella slate soils, this remarkable blend of Cariñena, Garnacha and Syrah captures the rugged beauty, power and mineral intensity that have made Priorat one of Spain's most celebrated wine regions.

The 2017 vintage produced beautifully concentrated fruit, with warm, dry conditions tempered by cool nights that preserved freshness and aromatic lift. Low yielding old vines and careful oak maturation have created a wine of depth, balance and remarkable complexity, faithfully expressing the dramatic landscape from which it comes.

Deep garnet with ruby highlights, the bouquet reveals aromas of blackberry, black cherry and ripe plum layered with wild herbs, liquorice and dark chocolate. As the wine evolves, notes of graphite, smoky spice and crushed slate emerge, adding depth and unmistakable Priorat character. The palate is rich yet beautifully composed, combining concentrated dark fruits with velvety tannins, vibrant acidity and a powerful mineral backbone. Long, savoury and wonderfully persistent, the finish echoes with spice, cocoa and the distinctive character of the region's iconic slate soils.

A magnificent partner for slow roasted lamb shoulder, chargrilled rib eye, game meats, rich beef casseroles or aged Manchego. Already drinking beautifully with a generous decant, this outstanding Priorat will continue to reward careful cellaring for many years.
