Half Bottle 375ml
This great dry Alsace riesling has hugely generous, irresistible aromas of fresh and candied citrus fruit, together with white and yellow peaches. Very chalky and concentrated on the medium- to full-bodied palate. The very long, deeply structured finish makes it plain that this masterpiece is just beginning to give its best! From organically grown grapes. Drink or hold.

Bright straw. Clean, vibrantly mineral and racy aromas and flavors of green apple. pear and lime. Ripe yet brightly acidic, this exhibits a penetrating quality on the long, juicy, ginger and mineral accented finish. Very compact, dense and still youthful Riesling. Outstanding. Drink 2026-2039.

This wine is named for Frédéric Emile Trimbach who became famous for providing a new guarantee of quality and authenticity for Trimbach in 1898. The south and south-east facing Ribeauvillé Grand Crus of Geisberg and Osterberg have been producing this wine for several generations. The average age of the vines, over 55 years, results in limited yields.

Trimbach Riesling Cuvée Frédéric Emile is one of Alsace’s most iconic wines — a benchmark dry Riesling that stands among the world’s greatest expressions of the grape. Crafted by the Trimbach family in Ribeauvillé, whose winemaking history dates back to 1626, this cuvée is named in honour of Frédéric Emile Trimbach, who first elevated the family’s reputation for excellence in the late nineteenth century. Today, under the direction of Pierre and Jean Trimbach, it continues to define the precision, purity, and longevity that have made Alsace Riesling legendary.
The wine is sourced from a blend of two exceptional Grand Cru sites, Geisberg and Osterberg, both with steep, east-facing limestone and sandstone slopes that overlook Ribeauvillé. These vineyards produce fruit of remarkable minerality and tension, yielding wines that age for decades while remaining laser-focused and refined. Grapes are hand picked and gently pressed, with fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel to preserve purity and structure. The wine is then aged on fine lees for several years before release, allowing it to gain texture and depth without losing freshness.
In the glass it gleams pale gold with green highlights. The aroma is intensely expressive, showing lime zest, green apple and white peach interwoven with flint, honey, and wet stone. The palate is dry, taut and beautifully structured, with layers of citrus, quince and mineral energy. Vibrant acidity drives a long, precise finish that feels both powerful and graceful, a hallmark of great Alsace Riesling.
It pairs magnificently with shellfish, grilled white fish, pork, duck with orange, or Asian cuisine featuring ginger and lemongrass. While captivating in its youth, it truly shines with age, developing notes of honey, petrol, and spice over twenty years or more.
