Fruit from the 40–year-old Langton vineyard. 18 months in French oak (20% new, the balance 2nd and 3rd use), prior to 9 months bottle age before release. Intense and full bodied, with a red-fruited core that nestles into the mid palate – raspberry, mulberry, and pink peppercorn. The oak is quite robust (but tight) at the front of the palate, and thanks to that succulent reserve of fruit, this is balanced and serious. Good length of flavour means that this is a very good wine indeed.

A lovely deep dark, crimsony red. Has the typical cool climate Shiraz aromas of spicy plum with some vibrant, 'bramble berry' characters all complexed by the lovely lifted oak. This has the generous and juicy, dark fruit flavours typical of the region. The plum and dark berry fruit characters are balanced by the lightly drying tannins picked up during its oak maturation. It is a vibrant and fragrant, well flavoured wine
