Medium ruby colour with slight tinges of purple and brick, a lighter but typical grenache colour. The bouquet is starting to show attractive pot-pourri mellowing perfumes. The flavour is deliciously sweet and cherry-ish: cherry jam, liqueur-macerated cherries, a succulent wine with a pinot-like flavour profile and structure. The tannins are soft and easygoing, perfectly judged, and the finish is long and supple and more-ish. If ever the saying that grenache is the pinot of the Barossa rings true, it's with this wine. Medium red in colour. Aromas of red cherry, berry fruits, anise and milk chocolate are melded by complex herbs and spices. The hallmark of this wine is 100 day post-ferment maceration which imparts incredible silky texture and refinement to the palate, creating a textural wine with depth, structure, vibrant acidity and defined tannins.
