A finely etched, terroir driven Riesling from one of Alsace’s most respected biodynamic domaines. Domaine Albert Mann is based in Wettolsheim and is renowned for meticulous vineyard work, low yields and a deep commitment to expressing site through organic and biodynamic farming. Cuvée Albert is drawn from a selection of estate parcels, typically on limestone and marl rich soils, which naturally deliver tension, purity and mineral drive. The style leans toward precision and structure rather than overt ripeness, capturing the classic Alsace balance of power and finesse.
Pale straw in colour with green reflections, the aromas are focused and mineral led, showing lime zest, lemon peel, green apple and white florals, layered with subtle herbal and wet stone notes. The palate is dry, tightly coiled and energetic, with concentrated citrus, a fine chalky texture and racy acidity that drives long through the finish. There is a quiet depth and savoury edge that adds seriousness and food friendly appeal. It is superb with oysters, shellfish, smoked trout, pork, sauerkraut, Asian influenced dishes and fresh goat’s cheese. While compelling young for its purity and drive, it has excellent cellar potential over ten to fifteen years, where it will gain classic petrol, toast and beeswax complexity while retaining its mineral spine.
