Typical McLaren Vale flavours of abundant black fruit, dark chocolate and Turkish Delight. Perfect McLaren Vale Shiraz colour with deep purple hues and mouth coating tannins. This oak regime is all French, with approximately 25% being new which adds a vanillin note to the finish. A full-bodied wine with layers of flavour.
Very deep, dark red/purple colour, youthful and bright. The aromas are dark chocolate, mocha and fruitcake with lots of dried fruits in it. Some toasty oak hints. It's big and bold, very full-bodied and firm with lashings of tannin. A big, gutsy shiraz that begs to be cellared. (From sandy soils at Blewitt Springs) 19 NOV 2020 Drink 2023–2038
