Sourced from the volcanic slopes of Mount Canobolas, this is a slick syrah that references cool climate nuances across a bow of violet to cracked pepper reduction, vibrant enough acidity and a tenor of dark fruit that is not too rich. Just. Relatively fresh, but a bit more tannin in the makeup would help mitigate the sweet finish.

Hints of spice and tobacco accompany powerful fruit flavours on the palate, while subtle red fruits provide an elegant nose. This wine can be enjoyed now, but will benefit from extended cellaring.
