Château Canon 2018 captures the timeless elegance of Saint Émilion with Premier Grand Cru Classé pedigree & extraordinary finesse.
Wow. This is really exceptional with super density of fruit that remains clear and agile. Blackberries, currants, violets and spice, as well as some chalk and salt. It really goes on for minutes. Best of the trilogy?

The 2020 Canon is a gorgeous, sophisticated wine. Silky and soaring, Canon is vertical in build, with a real sense of explosive energy that give the wine its shape. Rose petal, lavender, mint, spice and ripe red/purplish berry fruit all meld together effortlessly. The 2020 is an especially airy, understated Canon. I can't wait to see how it ages.

A blend of 72% Merlot and 28% Cabernet Franc, the 2018 Canon has a pH of 3.69 and 14% alcohol. Deep garnet-purple in color, it tumbles effortlessly out of the glass with a gorgeous perfume of candied violets, preserved plums, black cherry compote and Ceylon tea with hints of kirsch, powdered cinnamon, chocolate box and fertile loam. The medium to full-bodied palate is packed with juicy black fruit layers, supported by plush, oh-so-soft tannins and well-knit freshness, finishing long and fragrant.

The magnificent 2018 vintage delivered fruit of extraordinary concentration, freshness and balance. Warm conditions produced richly flavoured berries, while the estate's elevated limestone vineyards preserved remarkable energy and finesse. Meticulous parcel selection and patient élevage have created a wine of exceptional harmony, depth and longevity.
Deep garnet with youthful purple highlights, the bouquet is captivatingly layered with black cherry, plum and blackberry intertwined with violets, graphite and fine cedar. As the wine evolves, notes of truffle, tobacco leaf, crushed stone and dark chocolate emerge, adding remarkable complexity and unmistakable Saint Émilion character. The palate is seamless and beautifully sculpted, combining concentrated dark fruits with cashmere fine tannins, vibrant acidity and a finely etched limestone backbone. Powerful yet effortlessly graceful, the finish is exceptionally long, echoing with floral perfume, savoury spice and refined minerality.
A magnificent partner for beef Wellington, roast duck, herb crusted lamb, venison loin or black truffle dishes. Already breathtaking with extended decanting, this exceptional Premier Grand Cru Classé will continue to reward collectors for decades.
