Grown on the lower terrace at Te Muna Road, this wine shows a unique level of texture and complexity. The cooler climate of Martinborough ensures the wine is aromatic with steely minerality while the rocky soils gives intensity of the fruit.
Matured in French oak barriques (3% new)
Pale lemon straw. Complex Sauvignon Blanc aromatics with notes of white peach, citrus blossom, honeysuckle and kaffir lime.Harmonious and rich on the palate with ripe citrus and fresh apple and a layered, dry, textural feel. Cellar 1-4 yars from vintage.
"A harmonious and balanced style with a high level of fruit concentration on the silken mid-palate. A more restrained style than you might anticipate from New Zealand, but this is the windy Wairarapa providing its own interpretation, usually with worryingly low yields to boot. The warmest Kiwi summer on record has dished up ripe apples, grass and pineapple. There’s a fine line of acidity with long length. Drinking Window 2018 - 2025."
