Dog Point Section 94 Sauvignon Blanc Organic is an exceptional wine from Marlborough, produced by Dog Point Vineyard, a pioneer in organic viticulture in New Zealand. Founded by winemakers Ivan Sutherland and James Healy, Dog Point is renowned for its commitment to sustainable practices and hands-on, minimal intervention winemaking. Section 94 is their flagship Sauvignon Blanc, crafted from carefully selected organic grapes grown on Marlborough’s clay and silty soils, which contribute to the wine’s distinctive character.

This Sauvignon Blanc offers an intriguing departure from the region’s typical styles. Aromas of ripe citrus, flint, and subtle oak create a complex bouquet. On the palate, it reveals flavors of lemon, grapefruit, and a hint of toasted almond, balanced by vibrant acidity and a textured, layered mouthfeel. The wine’s elegant structure and nuanced minerality make it an ideal pairing for seafood, creamy pasta dishes, and roasted vegetables.

Pale straw in colour. Ripe aromas of grapefruit and lemons with overt white floral characters in the forefront. The hint of struck match aromas characteristic of this wine, reflect the use of solids during fermentation and ageing, adding a dimension of complexity and interest.The palate displays vibrant, varietal Sauvignon qualities, with citrus, racy fresh acidity and after 18 months of ageing on lees, creamy textures and a toasty, nutty finish.
