89/6/5% cabernet sauvignon/cabernet franc/merlot. Matured for 18 months in French oak (40% new). The 2018 vintage was fabulous, near on perfect actually, and Karridale (being in the south) is cooler than many growing areas in the main part of Margaret River. The resulting wine has the aromatics of a cooler subregion, in combination with the formidable power and concentration inherent in the year. Elegant, supple, leafy and long. Impressive.

Deep red in colour. The nose is vibrant & aromatic, suggestive of blue & red fruits, with hints of bay leaf, vanilla, spice & cedar. The palate is medium-bodied, with lifted & expressive Cabernet fruit flavours, biscuity oak, smooth, refined tannins & tremendous length. Lamb cutlets with redcurrant jelly would pair nicely.
