2018 was an ideal vintage in Coonawarra. Harvest started slightly earlier; good rainfall in the leadup followed by a warmer and drier season than usual, produced outstanding Chardonnay fruit exhibiting excellent varietal and regional expression.
Oak Maturation:
Select parcels (13% of the total blend) were maturated in new French oak barrels for an average of 10 months, adding complexity, texture and
suppleness.
Colour: Pale gold with green tinges.
Nose: Rich fruit aromas of white peach, ripe peear and citrus with subtle vanilla and cashew nut oak maturation notes.
Palate: Complex layers of vibrant stone fruit flavours with hints of citrus. Elegant oak maturation characters provide balance and structure.
Food Matching: Creamy seafood bisque, roast chicken with herb stuffing or pumpkin and goats cheese risotto.
Cellaring Potential: Enjoy now or will age gracefully up to ten years.
