Characters of rich blackberry, black cherry and macerated plums on a bed of deep spice with hints of tobacco leaf, cedar, pencil lead, dried herbs, licorice, espresso and earth. Some fig and prune join in on the palate, which shows substantial power and heft, solid fruit density, chocolatey tannins, espresso and a core of cassis fruit on the exit.
