Incredible intensity on the nose. It showcases the best things about this vintage. Roasted cashew and nectarine with grapefruit and lemon rind engage immediately. The palate is deeply intense and then there is the minerally, chalky, acid combo that takes it through to a very long finish. A dry and savoury finish completes an exceptional wine. These wines are going from strength to strength.

This single vineyard series is full of stars but this is arguably the brightest of them. In the intensity of fruit and the corresponding length of flavour. It attacks straight up and simply doesn't let go. It's polished and tidy but boy does its motor hum.

Pale to medium straw-yellow colour in the glass. The nose lifts with flint minerality, bacon fat and nectarines. The palate explodes with power, but almost instantaneously that power is compressed again by incredibly taut acid which brings laser-like focus and drives it very long. As it slowly unfurls softer savoury elements, smoke and nuts show themselves, but that acid drive is never far away. A serious exercise in power and precision.28 FEB 2021 Drink 2021–2033
