Medium-full ruby to brick-red colour, the bouquet has minty/pine-needle dominant notes, somemellow red fruits beneath that remind us that we're tasting pinot noir. In the mouth, it's medium-weight and starting to show distinct mellowing effects of bottle age, pleasant but lacks intensity and extract. There is tannin but also a thinness to the mouth-feel. Probably best drunk up sooner than later. 21 JUL 2023 Drink 2023–2026

A rich, stewed nose of rhubarb, plums and cinnamon brings a caramelised tart to mind, before a silken fruit-bomb of a palate unfurls, awash with strawberries, raspberries and milk chocolate. Structure is velvety, with some light white-pepper suggestions of oak throughout. Another exemplary Muse pinot.
Muse is wine of the old world made in the new—a Tasmanian expression of classic European winemaking. These wines exude texture, integration and complexity. Savour their fine balance and finesse with delicate food. They’re great in their youth, and excellent with bottle maturity.
