Very deep, dark purple/red colour, with a char-oak aroma, rich and ripe and generously oaked. Rich blackberry, graphite and sooty notes as well. It's very full-bodied and dense, powerful, high-impact and very long. The concentration is excellent and the tannins are superbly harmonised with the rest of the wine. Blackberry ad infinitum. Impressive stuff! (Dedicated to Ben Riggs's father, John Frederick Riggs. 35% new oak; 750 dozen produced) 10 OCT 2020 Drink 2021–2036

Mr. Riggs Wine Co. was founded in 2001. It’s winemaker Ben Riggs oversees the continual evolution of his premium wines, utilising distinctive regional parcels of fruit from the McLaren Vale, Adelaide Hills and Coonawarra. “The aim of all Mr. Riggs wines is to express the essence of the vineyard and varieties, in a style that Ben enjoys drinking.
The Latin phrase Dum Vivo Cano taken from Riggs family crest, translates to While alive, Celebrate. This has been Ben's life-long philosophy and continues to be a benchmark to which he lives by.” Relish the big events, but be sure to enjoy the steps along the way.
