100% Nerello Mascalese from Rampante and Zottorinoto on the Northern slopes of Mount Etna, mostly bush trained (alberello) at 600-900 metres with a vine age between 40 and 80 years old. Following an 18 day maceration, the wine is aged in tonneaux, 20% new, for 14 months.
Intense complex aromas of redcurrant, wild strawberries and rose, the palate is structured with great depth of flavour, full and rich but beautifully balanced with firm tannins and a long finish.
