Medium-deep red-purple hue, with a reserved, earthy bouquet touched with dusty pyrazine-like notes, perhaps derived from whole-bunch ferments. The palate is firm and a little closed, tight and drying, with abundant tannins and dominant savouriness. Amplitude and richness. Quite powerful structure, very cellar worthy. It's still somewhat in its shell and needs time. (80% whole bunches; 25% new oak)

60+ year old vines, 80% whole cluster. I do like a bit of Volnay. Spicy whole bunch, red fruits, good perfume, biscuity oak. Medium-bodied, spicy strawberries, a little earthy, but pretty, fine sandy tannin, bright acidity, raspberry and strawberry on a fresh and tight finish. Needs time.
