Deep red tinged with purple, and it has a voluminous bouquet of liquorice, plum and fruitcake, with a trace of coconut. A big, rich, generous style of sparkling shiraz with a touch of opulence, ripe flavours and very soft but present tannins. Sweetness is nicely balanced. A top example of the style. 15 OCT 2023 Drink 2023–2033

#1 of 16 2018 Sparkling Reds from Australia
There’s a good chance ‘Sparkling Shiraz’ could be the answer to the age old question…“what do we drink with breakfast?”.
Clear crimson-purple; while made using traditional method, the wordy back label doesn't disclose either the date of tirage nor that of disgorgement; it is a gloriously high-toned sparkling shiraz, its spice and licorice flavours highlighted by the secondary fermentation, resulting in elegance and intensity.
