55/45% Eden Valley/Barossa Valley. Up to 25yo vines, aged 12 months in older French oak barriques. Eden Valley and Barossa Valley cabernet are united with a 5% touch of shiraz. In classic Teusner style, it's all about fruit: succulent, generous and accurate. Blackcurrant and cassis signpost cabernet, while juicy density, dark chocolate and coffee declare Barossa. Fine tannins and fresh acidity bring up a long finish. Drink to 2028.

Named for the two founding partners of the business, this is sourced from the Eden Valley and Seppeltsfield and is the top cabernet selection. The nose has a rich dark-berry and blackcurrant nose with a gently leafy and herbal edge. Some forest wood, too. Really speaks to varietal characters of cabernet. There’s a very plush palate here with chiseled, central tannins carrying a rich, ripe and juicy delivery of dark-berry and plum flavors. Drink or hold. Screw cap.

The Barossa’s diverse landscape produces a wide array of expressions of Cabernet Sauvignon. Everyone’s allowed to have their favorites, for Kym Teusner that’s grown at altitude in the Eden Valley. Up there, the vineyards produce Cabernet that is is his words 'more Cabernet like’, with bright expression of classic varietal blackcurrant character, really nice acidity and fine grained tannins. In contrast, Barossa Valley Cabernet brings ‘the tasty factor’ to the glass, with loads of rich, generous black fruit. The contrasting characters of Eden Valley and Barossa Valley work extraordinarily well when they become companions in the bottle.

The Eden Valley component comes from David Forrest’s vineyard planted at around 450 meters above sea level. The Barossa portion is from the Righteous vineyard at Marananga, just across the way from the Torbreck Laird vineyard, at around 270 meters. The  two parcels were vinified separately and then matured in a 50/50 blend of new French oak barriques and older seasoned wood.
