Hand-picked fruit from the dry-grown Fechner vineyard. 25% whole bunches; hand plunged; matured 18 months in 50% new medium- and large-format French oak barrels. Full purple red. Impressively coiled and crafted. Quintessential Eden Valley old-vine shiraz, brimming with deep black/blueberry fruit and lifted fragrant spice, amplified by whole-bunch fermentation. Fine tannins have been well polished, uniting with natural acidity to draw out a long finish. Give it time.
