History and tradition: disappeared in the depths of the ground at Nuits-SaintGeorges, the hard limestone of Comblanchien reappears in Meursault. These excellent vineyards have been developed by the monks of Cîteaux since 1098.
Soil: here the soil is richer in clay and the amount of pebbles is lower. The wines from this region are usually richer and more gourmet.
