This has a classic nose of sour cherries, redcurrants, lemon peel, bark and tomato leaves. Medium-bodied with tight-grained tannins and bright acidity. Fresh and light-footed, yet persistent, long and evolving. Very elegant. Drink after 2023.

A selection of the best Sangiovese from the two estates, Brancaia and Poppi, blended with 20% Merlot. Matured in barriques (half new) for 16 months, followed by 6 months in the bottle. Loaded with perfumed juicy fruit, this is a rich and ripe style of Chianti that will benefit from some time in a decanter to allow the dark berry fruit to shine through the French oak polish.
