What is classic Mosel? It can hardly get steeper and slatier than at the Doctor site and to many Mosel aficionados no wine represents the region better than a Kabinett. Erben Thanisch’s Kabinett ticks all the boxes with a great diversity of fruit on nose and palate, none of it exaggerated, but presented with moderation and finesse. It takes a little more however to stand out from the rest, and the Doctor Kabinett manages that task with fine spices and mineral aplomb.(MS)
