Medium-deep red-purple colour; aromas of dried herbs, dry grass and dried mushrooms overlying dark cherries; the wine is quite full in the mouth with abundant flavour and backed by firm tannins. It's a touch grippy on its own but would work much better with appropriate food. There's a lovely deep core of sweet ripe dark cherry fruit. A solid Burgundy with ageing potential. 11 MAY 2023 Drink 2023–2039

Salty, mineral freshness extends from nose to finish in this ripe, broad-shouldered wine. Red-cherry and plum flavors are fleshy and concentrated on the palate, lifted by a tang of cranberry acidity and a pleasantly leafy, herbal finish. Soft in tannins and kissed with sweet spice.
